RE: Change to existing vacation accrual policy
After much consideration of the suggestions from a number of employees, we have re-evaluated our current vacation accrual policy. At present, employees accrue vacation days for every days worked. In light of the many overtime hours worked by many of our employees during our seasonal rush period, we have determined that the current policy does not sufficiently reward our employees for their efforts.
As of [Date effective], employees will accrue two vacation days for every 480 hours worked including all approved overtime, regardless of the number of days actually worked. This figure is based on the sixty 8-hour days assumed under the existing policy. This way, every hour worked will be accounted.
